GALA 2023 KEYNOTE SPEAKER: LT COMMANDER ALI GHAFFARI

The Lord has been so faithful to us and even though there is tremendous disappointment with the news of Dr. Kreefts’ inability to travel, we can see His provision and sovereign hand.

Chesterton Academy of St. Mary’s is proud to announce that the Gala 2023 keynote speaker will be Ali Ghaffari. He is the Founder and Board President of Divine Mercy Academy.

Lt. Commander Ali Ghaffari is a career Naval officer and a former Navy F/A-18 pilot with twenty years of leadership experience helping individuals and organizations become the best version of themselves in combat, the boardroom and the classroom. While at the Naval Academy, he taught classes in leadership and ethics.

Ali Ghaffari studied his way into the Catholic Church, converting on Easter Sunday 2004. He has Master's degrees in both Philosophy and Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary.

Ali and his wife, Mary, decided to start Divine Mercy Academy when they were inspired by the beauty, truth, and goodness found in classical education and wanted that for their children. Ali recently published his first book - Mount Doom: Tolkien's Prophecy Revealed.
