Peter Mango, PhD, joins Chesterton Academy of St Mary’s Board
The Chesterton Academy of St. Mary’s is pleased to announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Mango as Director of Academic Affairs to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Mango earned his PhD in Philosophy summa cum laude from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. He also received an MLIS degree summa cum laude from the University of WisconsinMilwaukee. Dr. Mango has edited publications sponsored by the UNESCO Chair of Bioethics.
“I am looking forward to being part of the Chesterton Academy of St Mary’s Board,” said Dr, Mango. “This school provides a rigorous, classical education to high school age students – a type of education that is in great need today.” The school’s Headmaster, Andrew Pudysz, extended his welcome to Dr. Mango. “As Headmaster, I look forward to Dr. Mango’s insights and contributions to the curriculum. His scholarship, devotion to the faith, and enthusiasm will be an enormous asset to me and to our faculty.”
Dr. Mango currently sits on the Graduate and the Undergraduate Faculty Committees with Holy Apostles College in Cromwell, CT, where he also engages in Adjunct Instruction. He formerly served as Assistant Professor of Philosophy for the US campus of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, and as its Chief Academic Librarian from 2000-2012. Dr. Mango has engaged in adjunct instruction at multiple institutions since 2010, as well as lending his support to several fundraising projects.
